Written April 2017

The impermanence of a signature on brick.

A statement of being, I was here. I existed in this place.

This moment is, was and will be mine.

The very act of vandalism to create momentary ownership, under a bridge, on a wall, a lamppost.

Seeking an area of 'mine'

Sometimes a vibrant scream of colour and sometimes the muted, quiet scrawl of rebellion

Hours of careful intention.

Seconds of furtive opportunistic creation.

A romantic mutiny from a can onto an urban canvas.

A note of belonging through the medium of defiance.
